Attractive fixed interest rates for a fixed maturity

The interest on fixed deposits is in most cases higher than the interest rate on the daily allowance

Trusted by brands all around the world

While interest rates on short-term fixed deposits continue to fall, they have recently stabilized significantly for longer-term investments. As a result, for the first time in over a year, long-term fixed deposits are yielding higher interest rates than shorter-term investments.

Save on fixed-term deposits at North Gate

  • What is fixed-term savings?

With a fixed-term deposit, you invest a specific amount of money with a bank and receive a fixed interest rate. With North Gate, you save in the form of a fixed-term deposit. A savings amount of at least €5,000 is invested for a specific period and is no longer freely available to you. The advantage: You generally receive a higher interest rate on fixed-term deposits than with "normal" savings.

  • What is the current interest rate offer?

You can find out about our interest rates for overnight and fixed-term deposits by making a short call to one of our employees and get information about the current interest rates.

  • How many fixed-term deposit accounts am I allowed to open, and is there a maximum amount?

You can open as many fixed-term deposit accounts as you like. However, the total amount of your savings held in fixed-term deposits must not exceed €2,000,000. For instant access savings, the immediately available balance in your online savings account, the maximum limit is €500,000.

  • What are the available terms for fixed-term deposits? From 3 months to 5 years.

You can freely choose the term of your fixed-term deposit. North Gate offers the following terms for fixed-term deposits: 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years and 5 years.

  • Can a fixed-term deposit be terminated prematurely?

Fixed-term deposits have a 14-day right of withdrawal. During this period, you have the option to terminate your fixed-term deposit early. To do so, log in to your online banking in your browser and click the trash can icon directly next to the fixed-term deposit that is still eligible for early termination. If you don't see a trash can icon, the fixed-term deposit was opened more than 14 days ago and can no longer be terminated.
